Nile Koetting and I have completed our third show for CFCL at Paris Fashion Week. This edition featured artwork by artist Toshihiko Mitsuya and live music by tabla player KYURI.
Such a large part of working as a movement director in a fashion context is just adapting to the constraints of the exceptionally tight production schedules. In order to make a complex choreography of bodies possible despite very minimal rehearsal time, we worked with Azul De Monte to make an animation of the entire show. This allowed us to test and tweak each model’s path to spot any potential issues long before rehearsals.
